The Opportunity
The Baja 1000 - a legend in motorsports since 1967, attracting national and international media coverage, both print and television. The awesome power of the Ferrari Enzo combining the legendary toughness of the Baja 1000 - Team Canada Racing has married the two, transforming the legendary performer into a golden marketing opportunity.

For the upcoming Baja 1000 Team Canada Racing has planned another film documentary, beginning with the interpersonal dynamics at play with vehicle preparation and race logistics, followed by the running of the Baja 1000. This production will be shown on major television networks, generating incredible exposure and millions of viewers.

Using the power of documentary style filming, you will find an opportunity that can showcase your firm in front of millions of potential customers.

Right To The Point - How We Can Help Your Business
1. The finished one-hour documentary will be marketed to networks such as Speedvision, ESPN/ESPN2, Discovery Channel, TLC (The Learning Channel), TNN (The Nashville Network), The Outdoor Channel, PBS, Fox Sports, YTV, and many others.

2. In addition to the television coverage, the marketing concept will be promoted to magazines both within the motoring industry (Popular Mechanics, 4x4, OffRoad, Racer, Performance Racing News, etc), and outside general interest magazines (GQ, The Robb Report, Playboy, Newsweek, Macleans, etc).

3. Newspaper coverage will include both major markets and targeted local markets that pick up the story. Major market Canadian and US newspaper editorials, such as the Toronto Star Wheels section, will also be targeted, with general Baja 1000 information from a "Team Canada Racing" perspective, with all of our race vehicles offered for feature stories.

4. Associate sponsors such as Frostbite Canada, for example, will be producing and distributing marketing materials through their own channels, ensuring enhanced visibility and exposure. This will ensure your firm will benefit from this type of cross marketing effort - all in all, a great marketing opportunity.

5. Visibility for the Team Canada Rocket will be incredible, with a jam-packed promotional schedule planned for the following year, including major auto shows and other media events. For example, the Toronto Auto Show alone will have 300,000 people exposed to the Team Canada Racing Baja 1000 challenger.

6. As a supplement to the personal appearances, the television documentary of course will be playing at the booth displays to also draw attention to our marketing partners.

7. Personalized film productions highlighting your firm can be produced from the 60+ hours of raw film that we use to produce the television documentary. The possibilities are limitless.

The Story On Television
Building on our successful documentaries beginning in 1998, we have continued improving on the same format. Our upcoming television documentary will not only provide great race coverage but also much more information from a "real Canadian" perspective. It also will focus on the high-technology side as the race vehicle will include many state-of-the-art components.

The first part of the film documents the team's preparation for the Baja 1000, known as the "Indy 500" of offroad racing. The interpersonal aspect will be maintained during the second half of the film covering the team's experiences, chellenges, interviews with the drivers, and the Baja 1000 itself.

The documentary is initially filmed in Canada as a lead-in to the primary filming in Mexico. Included is a full outline of our team's participation in the Baja 1000, direct from the Baja peninsula.

After the Canadian portion of the filming, the focus will shift to an outline of the incredible challenge presented by the Mexican desert. After presenting the course map with an explanation of the route and some of the hazards, including the infamous "booby-traps" set up by the Mexican locals, we'll then explain our strategies and pre-race preparations before the green flag starts the race for our drivers.

The infamous Mexican "booby-trap"

Onboard cameras cover the exciting start of the race, with the film replaced at every pit stop. Along the route, strategic locations will have been picked out for optimum filming and driver commentaries.

The exciting fuel stops will also be filmed, as we race against the clock and against the other competitors. Any crashes, injures, and extreme obstacles along route will be filmed as we encounter them. There will be play by play commentary by a well known Canadian broadcaster doing the voice-over.

Filming will wrap up as Team Canada Racing crosses the finish line. Of course, we'll enjoy some cheering and champagne spraying!

The Film Is The Message
We aim to make the filming a success. We also want to ensure that the film (and the story) will be marketed to a broad audience. To accomplish this, we've hired a professional marketing consultant to ensure that the film, and your message, is shown to millions of television viewers, magazine subscribers, and newspaper readers.
